Megan Williams

Originally from the Bay of Plenty, Megan Williams completed her study toward becoming a Registered Psychologist at Massey University in Palmerston North.

Megan brings experience to Wellform Psychology from a number of different settings including New Zealand Police, Community and Sport Psychology and Private Practise. In these settings Megan has worked extensively with children, adolescents, adults, and teams.

Megan works with high performers to establish skills that will help them cement and maintain their wellbeing as they journey through their competitive careers. Megan has a particular interest in understanding the physiological impact of stress and pressure and assisting clients to harness the performance enhancing qualities of nerves. Megan has experience working with high performance business owners and leaders as well as athletes from regional representative level through to current world champions and olympians.

Some of Megan’s career achievements include being recognised by her peers for an award-winning presentation that she delivered at the New Zealand Psychologists Society Conference on her work within the New Zealand Police. Megan is also proud to have completed research that attracted the attention of international publishers, and was published in 2016.

Megan grew up riding horses competitively in eventing (Three Day Eventing). As an adult Megan has played squash and golf competitively and is enjoying the increased gamification of the fitness industry by dabbling in crossfit and other functional fitness competitions and hybrid racing.
